Supporting students with intellectual disability at school.

Families of children with intellectual disability often find themselves navigating complex systems, unclear expectations and inconsistent support. At SupportEd Advocacy, we provide calm, informed advocacy to help families understand their child’s rights and advocate for meaningful, inclusive support at school.

Our role is to help ensure decisions are based on understanding, equity and your child’s individual needs — not assumptions.

When advocacy support can help.

Parents often seek advocacy support when:

  • Learning support does not reflect their child’s needs

  • Adjustments are minimal, inconsistent or poorly documented

  • Expectations for their child feel unreasonably low

  • Inclusion and participation are limited

  • School discussions feel overwhelming or one-sided

Advocacy can be helpful at any stage — not only when concerns escalate.

We take a strengths-based, respectful approach to advocacy, informed by professional experience in NSW schools and lived experience as a parent. Our focus is on inclusion, dignity and long-term wellbeing.
